Location The family-friendly beach hotel is approximately 20 km from Houmt Souk and around 25 km from Djerba-Zarzis Airport. Facilities The air-conditioned beach hotel offers 319 rooms in total and welcomes guests in a lobby with 24-hour check-out service and currency exchange facilities. Guests can browse for souvenirs in the shopping centre, boutiques and galleries, or relax with a book in the lounge and library. Internet facilities are complimentary and guests may also make use of the room service, car park and laundry service (fees apply). Rooms The hotel features air-conditioned guest rooms with balconies built around 6 flower-decorated patios, all of which include satellite TV, a direct dial telephone and complimentary Internet access. Sports/Entertainment Guests can laze by the outdoor swimming pool, which has a children's swimming area and sun loungers and parasols laid out ready for use, whilst sipping cool drinks from the oasis pool bar. Indoors there is a large heated swimming pool with a fountain beneath a domed glass roof. For those feeling energetic there is a fully equipped gym which also offers aerobics classes. The Thalasso therapy centre offers massage and health therapy treatments. The hotel has its own golf course which has both 9 and 18-hole courses (fees apply). Guests can enjoy access to five floodlit tennis courts, as well as a football pitch, basketball court, badminton and volleyball. The private sandy beach offers plenty of opportunities for sea swimming and water sports, including jet skiing, windsurfing, banana boating, pedal boating and parasailing (fees apply for all water sports activities); there is also a diving school. For those who prefer to stay on dry land, horse riding and cycling are both offered on site (fees may apply). The hotel provides a programme of evening entertainment for adults featuring typical Tunisian folk dancing and music and there is a daily children's entertainment programme at the kids' club. Meals The hotel offers the Ulysses Buffet with a buffet breakfast and weekly themed buffet dinner served in the Italian-style restaurant with an open-air terrace. Omar Khayam is an a la carte restaurant decorated in traditional Tunisian style, which serves a selection of Tunisian and Mediterranean dishes. It is open for dinner only. La Marsa is a terrace restaurant situated directly on the beach. This relaxed restaurant serves a range of fresh salads, grilled meat and fish.
